Job summary

Equans Data Centers in Motherwell is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead site safety across a data centre project. You will provide expert guidance to project teams, drive continuous improvement, and promote a proactive safety culture in line with Equans 12 Gold Rules.

You will carry out audits, RAMS, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and training, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and CDM regulations.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and standards including CDM regulations.
• Ability to challenge unsafe acts and maintain a proactive safety culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; weekly site condition summaries.
• Proficient in delivering training to groups.
• Strong data analysis and reporting using Excel and Pivot Tables.
• Previous construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with the company MS.
• Lead audits, inspections and RAMS/RACE to ISO 45001 standards.
• Carry out accident investigations and report findings to leadership.
• Deliver toolbox talks for high-risk activities and manage records.
• Monitor H&S performance, incidents and trends; implement corrective actions.
• Work with subcontractors to drive safety performance and compliance.
