Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking an outstanding Data Center Engineering Operations Cluster Manager for London. You will lead a large, multi-site organization, directing Facility Managers, Chief Engineers, and Technicians to maintain critical MEP infrastructure and ensure 100% service uptime.

You will interact with global teams, drive operational excellence, and manage OPEX/CAPEX while shaping strategic staffing and vendor governance in a dynamic AWS data center environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with critical data center electrical and mechanical systems (feeders, transformers, generators, UPS, PDU, chillers).
• Health and safety certifications or equivalent.
• Experience in data centers or critical environments.
• Experience leading apprenticeship programs and talent pipelines.
• Experience with vendor governance and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the operations management team including Facility Managers and Chiefs Engineers.
• Ensure 100% uptime and robust maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Establish performance benchmarks and manage repairs and reporting.
• Forecast staffing and manage vendor relationships to meet SLAs.
• Drive safety, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
