Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead construction and infrastructure projects across our global data center fleet. You will oversee scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating electrical, mechanical, and controls disciplines to deliver reliable, scalable environments.

Ideal candidates will have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, vendor management, and experience in data centers or critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provide project management for initiatives to increase data center resiliency.
• Electrical design and review for optimization of existing data centers.
• Review construction/project packages and drawings.
• Create project scope, RFPs, and capital requests.
• Ensure total project quality including commissioning plan and execution oversight.
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
• Provide operational support including review of procedures and maintenance initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with contractors and vendors for high-quality turnovers.
