Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited in London seeks a dynamic Data Center Engineering Operations Cluster Manager to lead multiple data centers. You will oversee facilities leaders, drive uptime, safety, and cost management while coordinating with global teams to implement standardized, scalable processes.

You will influence organizational design, staffing, and energy‑efficiency initiatives, ensuring high‑level strategic goals are executed at the local level.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems in critical data centers.
• Health and safety qualification (NVQ3/NEBOSH or equivalent).
• Experience in data center or critical environments.
• Experience leading apprenticeship programs and talent pipelines.
• Military or veteran talent pipelines welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the operations management team including Facility Managers and Chief Engineers.
• Ensure maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems with 100% uptime.
• Establish performance metrics and manage facility repairs and budgets.
• Build sustainable org structure and recruitment strategy.
• Forecast staffing needs with cross‑functional teams and vendors.
• Oversee vendor governance and on-site management of technicians and contractors.
• Lead safety, security, and incident response and root-cause analyses.
• Report on operations and costs; drive energy efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with global teams to implement standardized processes.
