Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction oversight for London data centres, coordinating civil, structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines and managing contracts to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will partner with general contractors, evaluate bids, develop project scope, and drive commissioning with a focus on reliability, energy efficiency, and scalable infrastructure for AWS customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in vendor management and data center environments.
• Experience with construction project execution and RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Construction project management and oversight of construction activities for data centre sites, owning scope, timeline and budget.
• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout.
• Lead negotiations with contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Creation of project scope and RFPS.
• Capital requests/financial analysis including change orders and invoicing.
• Construction project management for initiatives to increase resiliency of data centres.
• Reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centres.
• Coordinate commissioning and documentation reporting.
