Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a Field Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting AWS data center infrastructure. You will work alongside tenured Field Engineers to troubleshoot complex systems and contribute to operational projects in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

You will conduct root-cause analyses, document corrective actions, and assist with design reviews for upgrades that boost capacity, availability and efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inElectrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of Power Systems, Fluid Dynamics or Thermodynamics.
• HVAC knowledge preferred.

Aufgaben

• Troubleshoot, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, SOP reviews, including critical equipment and event support.
• Own conceptual design for existing data center upgrades to add capacity, improve availability and increase efficiency.
• Interface with internal data center design engineering, server hardware, environmental health and safety teams to promote standards.
• Work on concurrent projects.
• Support new construction projects during design, build, commissioning and handover.
