Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Field Engineer to support AWS Data Centers from design through site improvements and ongoing operations. You will review designs, troubleshoot, and lead field installation efforts with a mix of office and on-site work across regions.

Ideal candidates have a strong engineering background in mission-critical facilities, experience with design concepts and project management, and the ability to obtain UK security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with operation of mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or industrial plants.
• Strong communication and writing skills, ability to manage stakeholders and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvements and maintenance.
• Review designs and equipment submittals for new Data Centers in your region; troubleshoot and document RCA/CA for failures.
• Lead engineering audits, on-site visits, and support construction, commissioning, and turnover.
• Interface with operations, design engineering, and safety teams to promote standards and reliability.
