Job summary

Places for People is seeking a Damp and Mould Operative to visit customer properties, assess and treat mould, and advise on long‑term solutions. A basic DBS check is mandatory, and joiners receive full training. A £1,000 joining bonus is offered, paid in two instalments on joining and after probation.

You will work across properties in the WC postcode area, with a company van and full training provided. A driving licence is required to perform duties and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Previous trades experience (e.g., property maintenance, plastering or joinery) is desirable.
• You must reside in the WC postcode area due to patch coverage.
• Valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer properties to identify and treat damp and mould issues.
• Assess mould type and severity and apply appropriate treatments.
• Provide advice on prevention and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate visit and treatment records.
• Work safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
