Daniel Owen Ltd. is looking for an experienced Damp and Mould Operative to join a housing repairs team in Westminster on a permanent full-time basis.

You will perform damp and mould treatment works in occupied properties, diagnose causes, and implement remedial actions to prevent recurrence. The role requires a full UK driving licence, relevant City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 qualifications (or CSCS Blue card) and a basic DBS check.

Qualifications

• Driving licence is required for site visits and vehicle use.
• DBS check is a minimum requirement for working in housing services.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 Painting & Decorating demonstrates trade competency.

Job Title: Damp and Mould Operative
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Westminster
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: £38,000.00 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Operative to join a dedicated housing repairs team working on a long term social housing contract in Westminster.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out damp and mould treatment works within occupied properties as part of planned and responsive maintenance programmes.
• Diagnosing the root causes of damp, condensation, and mould issues, and implementing appropriate remedial actions to prevent recurrence.
• Applying specialists treatments, including anti-fungal washes, mould-resistant paints, and other protective coatings.
• Completing associated minor works such as plastering, painting, and decorating to restore affected areas following treatment.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship in accordance to health and safety regulations, internal quality standards, and client expectations.
• Accurately recording work completed, updating job sheets and reporting progress or issues to supervisors in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence (minimum of 12 months)
• City & Guilds or Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Painting & Decorating OR a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
• Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)
