Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking a Damp & Mould Operative to join our housing repairs team in Westminster on a permanent, full-time basis. You will undertake damp and mould treatment works in occupied properties, diagnose root causes and apply specialist coatings, aiming to prevent recurrence.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, relevant City & Guilds/NVQ or CSCS card, and a basic DBS check. Company van is provided along with benefits and enhanced pension options.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence
• City & Guilds or Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Painting & Decorating OR CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
• Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)

Responsibilities

• Carry out damp and mould treatment works within occupied properties as part of planned and responsive maintenance programmes.
• Diagnose root causes of damp, condensation, and mould issues and implement remedial actions to prevent recurrence.
• Apply specialist treatments including anti-fungal washes, mould-resistant paints and other coatings.
• Complete minor works such as plastering, painting and decorating to restore affected areas after treatment.
• Maintain high workmanship standards in line with health and safety regulations, internal quality standards and client expectations.
• Accurately record work, update job sheets and report progress or issues to supervisors.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: £34,000.00 - £38,000.00 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Operative to join a dedicated housing repairs team working on a long term social housing contract in Westminster.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out damp and mould treatment works within occupied properties as part of planned and responsive maintenance programmes.
• Diagnosing the root causes of damp, condensation, and mould issues, and implementing appropriate remedial actions to prevent recurrence.
• Applying specialists treatments, including anti-fungal washes, mould-resistant paints, and other protective coatings.
• Completing associated minor works such as plastering, painting, and decorating to restore affected areas following treatment.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship in accordance to health and safety regulations, internal quality standards, and client expectations.
• Accurately recording work completed, updating job sheets and reporting progress or issues to supervisors in a timely manner.

Requirements
