Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a Sheffield-based business that recently deployed a heavily customised D365 CE system. An internal expert is sought to own the platform, reduce third-party reliance and deliver continuous improvement.

The role reports to a Digital Transformation lead and sits with a small IT team, offering autonomy to shape solutions with Power Platform and custom development across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on D365 CE and Dataverse experience with a customised implementation.
• Strong Power Platform skills across Power Apps (model-driven and canvas) and Power Automate.
• Custom development experience - JavaScript and C# plugins; integration with SharePoint, SQL Server and Azure.
• Full delivery lifecycle: development, testing, UAT and release.
• Confident communicator; able to engage end users and senior stakeholders.
• Self-sufficient and commercially aware; able to work with limited hand-holding.
• A stable CV showing commitment to long-term roles.

Responsibilities

• Health check the existing D365 build and backlogs in Azure DevOps.
• Absorb knowledge from outgoing consultants and reduce key-man risk.
• Engage end users across entities to understand usage and improvements.
• Develop solutions using low-code Power Platform and custom code (JS, C# plugins).
• Build and maintain platform integrations with SharePoint, SQL Server and Azure services.
• Present progress and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to extend the platform and automate processes.
• Upskill colleagues to build internal D365 capability.

Power Platform Developer (D365)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: c£65,000 dependant on experience

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a well-regarded, long established business in Sheffield which has recently gone live on a heavily customised D365 CE implementation. Built by external consultants, the platform now needs an internal expert to take the reins - reducing reliance on third parties and driving real business value through continuous improvement.

Reporting to a Digital Transformation lead, you'll work alongside an internal PM and a small IT team, with the autonomy to do this your way.

What you'll be doing:

• Conducting a health check of the existing D365 build and working through a backlog of user stories in Azure DevOps.
• Absorbing knowledge from the outgoing consultants and reducing key-man dependency across the platform.
• Engaging end users across multiple business entities to understand how the system is being used - and where it can work harder.
• Developing solutions using both low code Power Platform tools and custom code (JavaScript, C# plugins).
• Building and maintaining dependency across the platform.
• Engaging end users across multiple business entities to understand how the system is being used - and where it can work harder.

What we're looking for:

• Self-sufficient and commercially aware - you'll have support, not hand-holding.
