Nucleus Security, Inc. is seeking a Technical Support Engineer - Apprentice to learn cybersecurity support while pursuing an IT Apprenticeship Level 5 at Belfast Metropolitan College.

You will become a trusted contact, helping customers navigate the platform and troubleshoot issues, with guidance from engineering and product teams. The role emphasizes initiative, questions, and a passion for improving customer experience.

Qualifications

• Resident in Northern Ireland.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must meet the Level 5 Entry Requirements.
• Strong written communication skills; able to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Naturally curious; enjoys technical challenges and figuring out how things work.
• Values empathy in supporting customers and collaborating with teammates.
• 1+ years' experience in a technical, customer facing role.

Responsibilities

• Respond to support tickets using Jira Service Desk and join Zoom calls to troubleshoot live issues.
• Learn how the platform works, including data flows, APIs, and vulnerability management processes, and explain these to customers.
• Take initiative to improve support processes, update documentation, and suggest better workflows.
• Gain hands-on experience with AI tools to help the team work smarter and faster.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify common issues and prioritize fixes with maximal customer impact.
• Attend Belfast Metropolitan College 1 day per week during the IT Apprenticeship Level 5 course.
