Job summary

Plymouth Community Homes in Plymouth is offering an Apprentice Cyber Security Analyst role within our Innovation, Transformation & Digital & IT team. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional cyber security environment while studying towards the Level 4 Cyber Security Analyst Apprenticeship.

Working with experienced IT and cyber security professionals, you’ll help protect our digital infrastructure, monitor for threats, and contribute to a secure technology environment while developing

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
• Must meet apprenticeship entry requirements and be committed to completing the programme.
• Minimum 12 months' workplace experience in a technical or IT-related role.
• Willing to work towards the Level 4 Cyber Security Analyst Apprenticeship Standard.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying cyber security vulnerabilities, threats and risks.
• Support monitoring and improving security of digital systems and infrastructure.
• Research emerging cyber security threats and help identify defence measures.
• Gain experience with cyber security tools, scripting and technologies.
• Assist with maintaining Digital & IT Infrastructure, including cloud environments.
• Support cyber security incident and problem management activities.
• Help produce reports and documentation for cyber security operations.
• Collaborate across the organisation to promote good cyber security practices.
