Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Cyber & Technology Risk & Controls Analyst to support the GRC team. You will assist with risk assessments, maintain control evidence, and turn data into actionable insights for senior leaders.

The role involves collaboration across IT, OT and business teams, maintaining records, and driving continuous improvement in risk practices. A flexible first working pattern is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk, controls, assurance, audit, cyber security, technology or related area.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to review information and identify patterns.
• Clear and inclusive communication to explain findings in plain English.
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
• Curious and collaborative mindset to improve risk management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cyber and technology risk assessments and gather information.
• Maintain evidence records and follow up on actions to address control weaknesses.
• Turn data into risk insights, create dashboards and clear reports for leaders.
• Build relationships with technical and business teams to apply risk processes.
• Suggest improvements to systems and processes for more consistent risk management.
