Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Risk & Controls Manager (Cyber & Technology) to advance SSE's risk and control framework across IT, OT, digital and data domains. You will translate enterprise risk requirements into practical delivery, enabling clear assessment and remediation while challenging management to improve risk maturity.

The role collaborates with the Cyber Defence GRC team and reports to the Senior Technology Risk & Controls Manager, with a focus on ownership, controls and meaningful change

Qualifications

• Practical experience of managing cyber, technology, operational, digital or information risks and controls in a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Shape and improve how cyber and technology risks are managed across the organisation.
• Help teams design and operate effective controls and address weaknesses.
• Turn risk information into insight to support senior leaders’ decisions.
• Build trusted relationships across technical and business teams to simplify risk management.
• Lead and develop colleagues while improving ways of working and delivering change.
