Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Risk & Controls Manager (Cyber & Technology) to drive the risk and control framework across IT, OT, digital, data, cloud and third-party services. You will collaborate with the Cyber Defence GRC team to translate enterprise risk requirements into practical delivery and provide challenge to strengthen risk maturity.

You will shape risk management, design controls, and report trends and exposures to senior leaders, fostering ownership and improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing cyber/technology/operational risks in a complex organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating evidence and identifying weaknesses.
• Clear, inclusive communication to explain complex subjects in plain English.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across teams and deliver through others.
• Experience leading or coaching others with sound judgement and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Shape and improve how cyber and technology risks are managed across technology, data, digital services and operational systems.
