Job summary

The Woodland Trust is seeking a Cyber Security Manager to develop, implement and continuously improve the organisation’s cyber security capabilities. This hybrid role is based at Grantham with monthly head office attendance.

You will lead the cyber security strategy, governance, and risk management, mentor the security team, and collaborate with senior leaders to protect data and systems for the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team and building a positive work culture.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance, GDPR.
• Experience developing cyber security strategies and roadmaps.
• Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, NIST, and NCSC guidance.
• Experience in security operations, incident response, and risk assessments.
• Ability to develop and maintain security policies and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead cyber security strategy, roadmap, and policies.
• Advise senior leaders and project teams.
• Maintain risk register and governance reporting.
• Line manage and mentor the security team.
• Develop organisation-wide security awareness program.
• Monitor threats and vulnerabilities; propose actions.
• Hybrid role with monthly head office attendance.
• Fixed-term contract: 24 months.
