Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Cyber Security Manager to lead the UK Cyber Security Strategy, report to the Head of Security, and collaborate with IT and engineering across Fareham, Farnborough, or Heywood. You will drive threat intelligence, risk assessments, and compliance with DefStan 05-138, ISO 27001, and NIST, while strengthening supplier security and Secure DevSecOps across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cyber security management within defence, aerospace or government environments.
• Strong knowledge of secure communication protocols and handling classified information.
• Expertise in intrusion detection, SIEM tools, and threat intelligence systems.
• Proven track record leading incident response in high-security environments.
• Familiarity with defence compliance frameworks (MOD JSPs, NIST, ITAR, GDPR).
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee cyber security policies aligned with defence standards.
• Represent Saab UK on global cyber governance bodies.
• Lead risk assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability management.
• Coordinate incident response and liaise with security and IT teams.
• Ensure Cyber controls compliance (DefStan 05-138, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Oversee cyber security in supplier assurance and selection.
• Maintain global cyber threat awareness and security across projects.
