Job summary

Seetec Business Technology Centre in the UK seeks a Cyber Security Lead to shape security strategy, governance and operations. Hybrid or remote working is considered; you will lead vulnerability management, governance, and incident response while guiding technical teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.

The role requires extensive hands-on security leadership with knowledge of Sentinel/Defender, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and related controls.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior cyber security experience in engineering, consultancy, SOC or technical leadership.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, vulnerability management, cloud security, identity security, incident response.
• Experience leading Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification activities.
• Solid understanding of ISO27001, governance frameworks, security controls, audit requirements, and risk management.
• Experience managing vulnerability programmes, roadmaps, and security improvement initiatives.
• Experience leading investigations and coordinating responses to major security incidents.
• Strong customer-facing, presentation, advisory and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Certs such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SC-100/SC-200, CySA+ or equivalent are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's cyber security strategy, roadmap and improvement programme.
• Own governance, policies, standards, risk management and security assurance activities.
• Lead Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, and support ISO27001 programmes.
• Own vulnerability management, prioritise risks and drive remediation.
• Provide technical leadership across security technologies (Sentinel, Defender, identity, cloud, endpoint).
• Lead major cyber security incidents, investigations and post-incident reviews.
• Advise customers and stakeholders with security guidance, reporting and recommendations.
• Line manage and develop the Cyber Security Engineer and drive continuous improvement.
