Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment is seeking a Customer Support Consultant to join a specialist villa holiday team in Cambridge. You will manage bookings, handle amendments and requests, and resolve issues to ensure smooth holidays from start to finish.

You will communicate with customers by phone and email, and may translate villa descriptions and content as needed. Fluency in French or Dutch is desirable but not essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in travel or customer service environments preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, solution-focused with strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and maintain a strong attention to detail.
• Fluency in French or Dutch would be highly desirable, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by phone and email throughout the booking journey.
• Process amendments, special requests and issue resolutions to ensure smooth holidays.
• Assist with translating villa descriptions and website content when required.
• Maintain high standards of customer care and respond to reviews in a timely manner.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist villa holiday company as a customer support consultant, supporting customers throughout their booking journey and helping ensure their villa holidays run smoothly from start to finish.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As Customer Support Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, managing booking amendments and special requests, and resolving any issues that may arise.

You will communicate with customers by phone and email, respond to customer reviews, and help maintain the high standards expected of a specialist villa holiday business.

You will also have the opportunity to translate villa descriptions, website content and marketing materials from English into your native language.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous travel industry experience is desirable, ideally within a similar business.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to resolving problems and managing customer requests.
• The ability to work independently and maintain a strong attention to detail.
• Fluency in French or Dutch would be highly desirable, but is not essential.

WHAT IS ON OFFER:

• Competitive basic salary & benefits
• Working Hours - Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 (From 1 April to 1 October, an additional Saturday shift every other week, 15:00-19:00.)
• FULL OR PART TIME
• FULLY OFFICE BASED IN CAMBRIDGE
