Job Description:

Customer Solutions Director - Data Centre Construction - London/UK (hybrid)

This is your opportunity to work for a global data centre operator recognized as one of the fastest-growing and well-known groups in the industry.

Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth and requires the expertise of a Customer Solutions Director. They have established partnerships with many well-known technology companies and tailor their development to their clients' requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Sales Leadership: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategic pre-sales activities, including solution design, proposal development, and customer presentations.
  • Industry Leadership: Participate in industry event panels/talks, promote Kao Data's technical/design leadership, and maintain thought leadership across design, construction, operations, and sustainability.
  • Technical Expertise: Use your in-depth knowledge of M&E engineering to understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions that meet their needs.
  • Solution Design: Develop comprehensive, high-quality technical solutions that meet customer specifications, including power distribution, cooling systems, redundancy, sustainability, and scalability.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their long-term business goals, and providing solutions to support their growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • University graduate (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to commute into London regularly for weekly meetings.
  • Ability to commute into our data centre locations – Harlow, Slough, Manchester, and Northolt – when needed.
  • Ability to travel for customer meetings.
