Job summary

Clancy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Smart Water Meter Technician to upgrade existing meters to the new smart meters so customers can monitor their water usage.

You will work outdoors, drive to properties, use the latest tech to link meters to the network, and explain operation to customers. Training will be provided, and you’ll receive a company van with a fuel card.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive and enjoy working outdoors.
• Great customer service skills and willingness to learn.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade existing water meters to smart meters at customer properties.
• Explain to customers how their new smart meter works and how to read it.
• Link the meter to the closest mast and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Work outdoors with appropriate PPE and maintain safety best practices.

As a Smart Water Meter Technician, you will be upgrading existing meters to one of our new smart meters, so people can see how and when their water is being used.

Since the first meters were installed in 2020, they have helped Anglian Water customers to find and resolve over 100,000 leaks at their properties.

To do this, you will use the latest tech to upgrade and link the new smart meter to the closest mast, then explain to your customer how their new smart meter works!

If you can drive, are happy working outdoors, are physically fit and have great customer service skills the answer is probably YES - and we would love to hear from you!
