Job summary

Selco Builders Warehouse in Peterborough is seeking a hands-on branch leader to drive exceptional customer service and sales performance. You will manage the sales desk, develop the team, and work with trade customers to grow accounts and new business.

The role focuses on using data to improve profitability, coaching staff on product knowledge and service, and maintaining safety and compliance across the branch. Expect a busy, rewarding environment with strong team support.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Managing the daily operation of the sales desk, ensuring customers receive a fast, friendly and efficient service.
• Driving the branch sales and margin plan to achieve performance targets and KPIs, building strong relationships with trade customers, supporting customer retention, account growth and new business.
• Using performance data and customer insights to identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability and team performance.
• Coaching colleagues to develop their product knowledge, commercial awareness and customer service skills.
• Supporting the wider branch management team and taking responsibility for branch operations when acting as the most senior leader on duty.
• Ensuring all safety, security and compliance procedures are followed across the branch.
• The working hours for this role are 37.5 per week.
