Job summary

Breedon Group is recruiting a Customer Service Agent for our CSD department at Borras Quarry, Wrexham. The role focuses on maintaining production and transport visibility, accurately capturing orders, and shaping efficient distribution plans to meet customer expectations.

You will collaborate across Commercial, Operations and Transport teams, ensuring on-time delivery while upholding safety standards and high service levels. A customer-centric, proactive communicator will excel here.

Qualifications

• Experience handling priorities in a fast-paced logistics or customer service setting.
• Proficient with CRM systems and MS Office tools for order capture and data management.
• Clear, professional communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of production and transport availability to influence distribution plans.
• Capture and place customer orders accurately within Breedon systems per processes.
• Build and optimise a distribution plan to meet customer needs with cross-team collaboration.
• Plan driver rest times and ensure adherence to health & safety policy.
• Contact customers the day before delivery to confirm orders and schedules.
• Respond to changes in the plan, proactively notifying customers as needed.
• Ensure transport process compliance and data integrity for informed decisions.
• Build strong customer relationships over the phone and highlight sales opportunities.
• Review KPIs to drive improvements in customer experience and distribution efficiency.
• Implement changes aligned with Customer & Commercial Excellence initiatives.
