Night-Time Customer Service Assistant

Location: Sheffield

Hourly Rate: £13

Working Hours: 9pm – 6am, 1 shift per week, Monday - Sunday

Vita Student offers a variety of stylish, luxurious, and comfortable studios designed to suit students' lifestyles, providing privacy or shared living options, surrounded by premium amenities and vibrant city life. We are seeking a Night-time Customer Service Assistant to deliver a home-from-home experience for residents while maintaining the highest standards of our site and facilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide exceptional, personalized service to residents, anticipating and fulfilling their needs, offering local information, and handling inquiries to ensure a seamless experience.
  2. Greet and welcome students and guests warmly at the front of house/reception.
  3. Be available to answer questions and assist residents as needed.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of communal areas during night shifts, ensuring high standards are met at all times.
  5. Respectfully oversee the care of facilities by students and guests.
  6. Address issues or challenges promptly, providing solutions.
  7. Conduct regular building surveys (block walks) every 4-6 hours, reporting findings.
  8. Replenish refreshments and manage vending supplies.
  9. Manage parcel storage and access for students.
  10. Serve as the primary contact for incidents or emergencies onsite.
  11. Maintain waste management areas in accordance with health and safety regulations, addressing hazards as needed.
Professional Experience and Personal Characteristics
  • Experience in customer service, especially in delivering premium experiences.
  • Hands-on approach to cleanliness and safety in communal areas.
  • Technologically proficient with various systems and software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment; multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and stress management skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, positive, and resilient in handling unexpected situations.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks; accommodations considered.
  • Flexible availability to cover 24/7 operations, including holidays and religious festivals.
