Job summary

Heart of England Co-operative Society’s Wellesbourne food store is hiring Customer Service Assistants to start or grow a retail career. It offers a clear pathway to Team Leader and Store Manager roles, with flexibility for evenings and weekends, and full training provided.

You’ll deliver friendly service, keep shelves stocked, handle deliveries, and maintain cleanliness and food safety while supporting promotions and merchandising in a team-focused environment.

Looking to start or grow your retail career? We’re recruiting Customer Service Assistants to join our food store team

Wellesbourne | 12 hours per week | Permanent

This is more than just a shop floor role – it’s your opportunity to build a career in retail, with a clear pathway toTeam Leader and Store Manager roles. Must be flexible with working different shifts, evenings and weekends, experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given, must be able to travel to and from store as limited public transport in the area.

What You’ll Do

As a Customer Service Assistant, you’ll play a key role in keeping our store running smoothly while delivering a great shopping experience:

• Deliver friendly, helpful, and efficient service to every customer
• Keep shelves fully stocked, well-presented, and shop floor ready
• Handle deliveries, replenishment, and stock rotation
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Support promotions and merchandising activity
• Work as part of a team to achieve store targets

You’ll be visible on the shop floor, ready to help customers and step in wherever needed to keep the store running at pace.
