Job summary

Tenpin in Colchester is hiring a Customer Service Assistant to provide an outstanding guest experience. You’ll manage reception bookings, answer enquiries, and spot sales opportunities while hosting events, serving food and drinks, and ensuring the centre remains welcoming and tidy.

Role spans across departments such as Laser Arena, Escape Room, karaoke rooms, and children’s parties. You’ll need to be proactive, friendly and able to handle a fast-paced environment, with flexibility for evenings

As we're a licensed premises, colleagues under 18 will work within the duties and hours permitted for their age, with some duties, such as serving alcohol, reserved for colleagues aged 18 and over.

The Role

As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll provide an excellent customer experience by managing reception bookings, answering enquiries, identifying sales opportunities, hosting events, serving food and drinks, and keeping the centre clean, welcoming and running smoothly.

You'll work across various departments, from running the Laser Arena and hosting Escape Room experiences to managing karaoke rooms, and hosting children's parties. Every day will bring something new, keeping the fun flowing!

You should be efficient, proactive, friendly, and confident in customer interactions, with exceptional service as your priority.

Skills You Need

• Determined, enthusiastic, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service, communication skills, and a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude
• Fully flexible, including evenings and weekends
• Approachable, helpful, organised and a strong team player, with good attention to detail
