Job summary

Wickes is hiring for a 39-hour-per-week full-time role across a variety of patterns to suit flexibility. You will greet customers, assist with purchases, handle stock and keep the store welcoming. Training and development are provided, with opportunities to grow within the business.

The Role...

Whatever your role in and around the store, everything you do will be focused on the customer experience. Parking will be a breeze, trolleys in easy reach, help always at hand, stock in the right place, deliveries out on time and payment met with a smile. Of course, while you’re creating a helpful and friendly customer experience, we’ll be thinking of new ways to reward, develop and invest in you. You’ll receive all the training, support and opportunities you need. Think of it as a down-to-earth place to work, where you get to go up in the world.

We currently have 4 positions available across a range of hours to suit your flexibility:

39 Hours (Full-Time) – Order Fulfilment (must be comfortable with heavy lifting)

Pattern:Five days per week, with the expectation of working both Saturday and Sunday and taking two weekdays off. This role includes physical stock handling and moving orders safely, with flexibility for early and late shifts. Late shifts finish at 20:30.

Pattern: Four days per week, including a mixture of early and late shifts and weekend working (flexibility needed). Late shifts finish at 20:30.

Pattern: Three days per week, primarily late shifts, with availability for weekend working (flexibility needed). Late shifts finish at 20:30.

Pattern: Weekend-only shift (both Saturday and Sunday).

About you...

Every day you’ll be dealing with and assisting customers, so it’s important that you offer every person that walks through our doors a high level of customer service. We look for someone who ideally has experience working in a similar role.
