Job summary

Fastenal Europe in Aberdeen is seeking a proactive Customer Services / Warehouse operator to handle calls and emails, assess customer needs, and contribute to stock management. The role includes driving a company van and supporting warehousing tasks, with on-the-job training and clear opportunities for progression.

Starting salary around £27,000 per year with a monthly bonus after probation and a strong track record of internal promotions.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or warehouse operations.
• Willingness to drive company van; full UK driving licence required.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and emails, identify customer needs, and provide updates; assist with stock purchases and POS operations; communicate with colleagues.
• Warehouse duties: picking, packing, receiving, cycle counts, shipping, processing goods; forklift licence is a plus and can be obtained on the job.

Annual salary of £27,000 (additional bonus option after successful probation period) and excellent in-house training and future prospects with over 95% of staff promoted from within.

Monday to Thursday 8-5pm. Friday 8am-2:30pm.

We are looking for approachable, all-rounded customer support/warehouse op candidates, who thrive under pressure and can deliver exceptional customer service whilst also working within a warehouse supporting role. Full UK driving license would be required as you'd be driving with a company van.

Furthermore, this would be a great opportunity for those interested in pursuing a long-term career and willing to progress into managerial or senior sales roles in the future, amongst other internal career routes.

Customer Services

Key responsibilities will include

• Handling incoming calls, answering emails, identifying and evaluating customers’ needs to deliver satisfaction, going the extra mile to engage customers, purchasing stock, general operations in the POS, communicating with colleagues, and providing customers with updates. IT skills would be advantageous.

Warehouse

• Picking, packing, receiving, cycle counts, managing shipping and processing goods in, general warehouse operations. Forklift licence would be a big plus but can be obtained on-the-job.
