Customer Service & Operations Assistant -Wholesale Retail Sector

To be considered for this role you are required to have 2-3 years previous experience working in the wholesale retail customer service environment.

Up to £32,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

Watford

Full Time Office Based – Monday to Friday

One to One Personnel is proud to be working with our global brand client who is looking to hire a Customer Service & Operations Assistant to join their team at their head offices based in Watford.

Experience/Skills required

  • Relevant Wholesale Retail industry experience – preferably 2-3 years
  • Ideally have worked with known retailers, Next, Debenhams, JD Sports, etc
  • Self-motivated, able to manage own workload and be a team player
  • Highly competent IT skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Would be able to pick up using the company ERP system quickly
  • Paying attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Strong proactive work ethic
  • Self-starter and solution-oriented and able to manage own workload
  • Willingness to learn

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Follow up and track customer Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing
  • Send POs to factories and sales order confirmations (SOCs) to customers
  • Communicate and resolve any queries on orders with customers and factories
  • Upload styles, sales orders (SOs), and POs in the ERP system and continue to maintain
  • Perform housekeeping tasks in the ERP system to ensure accurate and up-to-date data
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely shipments and deliveries
  • Monitor delivery schedules and update customers on any delays or issues
  • Provide barcodes and packing and shipping instructions to factories
  • Process stock into inventory, allocate orders, raise picking tickets and invoices
  • Send weekly order books to the customers and chase them for booking
  • Provide customers with requested data
  • Process customer booking forms and communicate delivery schedule with warehouses
  • Access and maintain customer data base and portals where appropriate
  • Advise customers on order status, delivery delays, and any related issues
  • Address queries from credit control and finance departments
  • Ensure accurate and efficient reporting throughout each sales season
  • Work with factories and shipping departments on salesman samples
  • Support the Operations team and sales team with ad-hoc tasks related to sales and purchase orders
  • Assist with any additional tasks related to customer order management, sales support, and internal operations

The scope of the roles and responsibilities may expand or be varied depending on the needs of the Company’s business to adapt to changing market conditions
