Customer Service Advisor

We are delighted to be partnered with our successful, professional, and friendly client, who is seeking to recruit an additional full-time Customer Service Advisor to join their team at their offices in Haywards Heath. This is an office-based position offering an excellent opportunity within a reputable insurance/financial services company.

  • Position: Customer Service Advisor
  • Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00 (37.5 hours/week, including 30 min lunch)
  • Location: Haywards Heath - modern offices, 10-minute walk from the station, with on-site parking and nearby free street parking
  • Salary and Benefits: £25,000 - £28,000 per year, with excellent company benefits, including a pension scheme, employee benefits scheme, social events, and a staff Christmas party
The Role - Customer Service Advisor

This role involves a mix of phone-based customer service and administrative work in a busy, friendly office within an expanding and stable organization.

Customer Service Advisor duties include:
  • Answering and resolving customer queries via telephone and email, taking ownership of tasks
  • General policy administration
  • Proactively following up on customer inquiries and converting them into policies where possible
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction exceeds expectations
  • Producing high-quality documents and maintaining computer records
  • Gaining strong knowledge of company products
  • Ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies
  • Undertaking regular learning and development activities
Experience, competencies, and knowledge required:
  • Experience in a telephone-based or customer-facing/support role
  • Good general education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Customer-focused with a passion for exceeding expectations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good prioritization and time management skills with high accuracy
  • Good IT skills and eagerness to learn new systems
