Customer Service Advisor Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading organization within their customer service team. If you have a background in customer service within a regulated industry such as Financial Services, Insurance, or Telecommunications, and experience in a call centre environment, this could be the perfect next step for you. The role is hybrid, requiring reliable transportation via public transport or vehicle. Direct transport links are available from the south and west Birmingham area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to new and existing customers, resolving queries efficiently, accurately, and professionally.
  • Contribute to team sales targets and objectives through policy selling and servicing, including renewals.
  • Enhance customer experience and exceed expectations, acting in the best interests of both the customer and the insurer.
  • Handle inbound and outbound enquiries, providing appropriate levels of cover.
  • Support the team and department with administrative tasks such as processing post, issuing cover notes, marketing activities, and data entry.
  • Process mid-term adjustments and manage renewals across different products.
  • Ensure all client documentation is issued correctly and records are maintained accurately.
  • Stay updated on product developments and market trends.
  • Resolve complaints effectively and handle difficult clients, referring FCA reportable cases as needed.
  • Promote other products through cross-selling opportunities.
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in customer service within a regulated environment such as financial services, insurance, or telecommunications (call centre, claims, account handling, telesales, customer service).
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Located within commuting distance to the office, with accessible public transport from areas like Selly Oak, Northfield, Kings Norton, and south/west Birmingham.
