Job Description:

Customer Service Administrator

We’re delighted to be working on behalf one of the UK’s leading suppliers of materials to the construction industry.

The role
You will be responsible for providing a robust administration support function and delivering an exceptional customer service.

  • Daily input of sales orders and delivery notes on the in-house system
  • Preparing orders and delivery dockets for the warehouse the pick and despatch
  • Confidently answering the telephone and managing enquiries to develop relationships and maximise sales opportunities
  • Monitoring emails and ensuring enquiries are responded to in a timely manner to maximise business opportunities.
  • Booking parcels and pallets onto the transporters logistic system.
  • Acknowledging customer orders, confirming their despatch and monitoring delivery
  • Keeping customers updated on stock availability and maintaining system for back orders
  • Liaising with pallet and parcel companies about delivery queries/problems
  • Sending Proof of Delivery (PODs) when asked by customer
  • Invoicing customers and checking paperwork.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Excellent administration and customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in talking over the phone
  • The ability to use initiative and work effectively to deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Knowledge of construction and building products (desirable)
