Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Erdington, Birmingham is seeking a Customer Sales Advisor for a busy self-storage site. You will be the main face of the facility, greeting customers, handling calls and driving rentals with friendly service.

Full training provided, daytime hours 9:30am–6:00pm, five days a week with one weekend in three. £26,520 per annum, with opportunities to develop into supervisory roles within a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service or sales is helpful but not essential.
• Good maths and English basics; a short assessment will form part of the interview.
• Confidence speaking to customers face-to-face and on the phone.
• Friendly, outgoing and approachable manner, with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the main face of the site, greeting customers in person and handling inbound calls and emails.
• Advise on unit sizes, pricing and availability, and convert enquiries into rentals.
• Conduct site tours, explain security features, and guide customers through sign-up.
• Process new rentals, promote add-ons, and maintain accurate records.
• Handle cash/card payments, issue receipts, and reconcile end-of-day takings.
• Support site administration and work with Site Manager and Regional Manager to hit targets.
