Job summary

Hood Group is hiring a Customer Payments Clerk to support the Customer Payments Manager in premium collections, refunds, and reporting. The role is hybrid: 1 day a week on site at the Southend office.

Salary range is £25,000 to £26,200 per year. Applicants should have finance or credit control experience, strong accuracy, and knowledge of relevant systems. Benefits include 31 days leave and pension, among others.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Finance or credit control is essential.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.
• Disciplined, organised and methodical approach; confidentiality in handling financial data.
• Insurance or financial services sector experience is beneficial.
• Systems knowledge - Sirius, ICE, Sage Pay, PTX, Premium Credit Limited, Magenta and Pay360 – beneficial.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (A*-C) including Mathematics and English.

We are looking to recruit a Customer Payments Clerk, to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support the Customer Payments Manager in all aspects of premium collections, credit control, processing customer refunds and reporting.
