Job summary

Hood Group Ltd. is recruiting a Customer Payments Clerk to strengthen our Finance team. You will support the Customer Payments Manager with premium collections, refunds, and reporting, in a hybrid role with one day on-site at our Southend office.

We value accuracy, confidentiality and organisational skills, with experience in finance or credit control. Insurance or financial services exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Finance, or credit control is essential.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Disciplined, organised and methodical approach.
• Ability to understand the importance of confidentiality in handling financial data.
• Insurance or financial services sector experience - beneficial.
• Systems knowledge - Sirius, ICE, Sage Pay, PTX, Premium Credit Limited, Magenta and Pay360 systems - beneficial.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9(A*-C) or equivalent to include Mathematics and English.

Responsibilities

• Processing collection files.
• Managing customer refunds.
• Acting as the first point of contact for finance related queries.
• Supporting credit control activities.
• Assisting with month end and internal reporting.

We are looking to recruit a Customer Payments Clerk, to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support the Customer Payments Manager in all aspects of premium collections, credit control, processing customer refunds and reporting.

This is a hybrid role - 1 day a week on site at our Southend office.
