Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Bath is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to deliver partner-led service and passion for food, helping customers and earning their trust on every visit.

You will manage stock, support online orders for home delivery, and contribute to waste reduction and shop efficiency. Night premiums apply after 22:00. Varied hours up to 22.5 per week across seven days in Bath.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is beneficial.
• Interest in food trends and willingness to adapt to changing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online orders for drivers to deliver to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due dates and markdowns.
• Working with the wider shop team to support checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
