Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Bath is hiring a Supermarket Assistant to deliver Partner-led service and passion for food. You’ll stock shelves, fulfil online orders, support Click & Collect, and help keep the store tidy and welcoming.

Flexible hours across seven days, up to 22.5 hours per week, with shifts between 06:30 and 22:00. Prior customer-facing experience is welcomed; enthusiasm for food trends is a plus.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.
• Desirable: experience of working in a customer facing role.
• Desirable: up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Desirable: flexible approach to support the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver.
• Reducing waste by following product due diligence and markdowns to sell-by dates.
• Support wider shop team including checkout, Click & Collect, and other customer orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
