Job summary

Nutrient is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Sales team. You will begin with a customer, identify the document problem costing them money, and build a working solution on their documents that operates within their environment.

You will then translate that work into a ready-made offering for subsequent customers and measure outcomes against a scorecard. You will navigate discovery, implementation, and productization across Nutrient's platform, working with customers and internal

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with product thinking
• Comfortable with customer-facing conversations and discovery
• Experience shipping production software and building reusable solutions
• Familiarity with infrastructure (containers, Kubernetes, cloud providers) and APIs

Responsibilities

• Discover the problem before anyone scopes it. State the job to be done in the customer's words.
• Build the first implementation on the customer's documents and in their environment, fast enough for a live demo.
• Agree a scorecard upfront and hit it, measuring success against defined outcomes.
• Stitch across the Nutrient platform (Workflow, Document Engine, APIs, AI data extraction) for integrated solutions.
• Productize what you build so it can be reused by future customers, not just one-off work.
• Close the loop back to the company: document learnings, defects, and patterns for reuse in the product.
• Support the deal by working with account executives and solutions engineers before and after contract signing.
