Job summary

John Lewis & Partners is seeking a Customer Assistant to join a John Lewis shop, delivering outstanding customer service and showcasing in-store experiences that differentiate us from competitors.

You will help maintain shop standards, manage displays, assist customers with product knowledge, and support with till operations and general shop tasks to keep customers moving through their journey with warmth and care.

Qualifications

• Basic IT literacy is required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in a customer-facing role welcomed but not essential.
• Merchandising and product displays experience a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and helpful customer service at every stage of the journey.
• Utilise product knowledge and training to support sales and store profitability.
• Put the customer at the centre of every task and resolve queries promptly.
• Work flexibly across the shop, including till support, stock replenishment and shop-keeping tasks.
• Identify areas for improvement and help implement solutions.
• Assist with stock checks to protect profits.
