Job summary

One Stop, part of the Tesco Group, is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team in Gloucester. In a fast paced retail environment you will deliver friendly service, stock shelves, process payments and help maintain the store's appearance.

You will be at the heart of everyday store operations, using coaching and feedback to improve service, while upholding safety and store policies. This role offers a supportive environment and opportunities to grow with the One Stop family.

Responsibilities

• Know my customers and serve them with passion and pride.
• Encourage customers to provide feedback via the 'have your say' survey.
• Work across store areas including online, tills, replenishment and stock routines.
• Apply training to work safely and follow procedures.
• Take part in seasonal, community and charity events.
• Be knowledgeable about store performance and our role in profit.
• Follow our values, make everyone feel welcome and adhere to policies.
• Clock in/out to ensure accurate pay and follow safety protocols.
• Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
• Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts.
• Work in a clean, tidy and organised manner and keep aisles clear.
• At times, may run the shift in absence of leadership and ensure training is followed.
• If the store has a Post Office Local, perform day-to-day post office duties and pass required checks.
