Job summary

Skan AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with customers and translate real work into production AI agents. You’ll bridge engineering, AI, and client delivery—capturing messy processes, defining agent logic, building integrations, and ensuring governance with human oversight.

This role blends hands-on coding with direct customer impact and production readiness. You’ll work across the stack, calibrate and validate with customers, and measure the business lift delivered by automated

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software, data, ML engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.
• Strong Python and SQL; hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform.
• Experience building with LLMs / AI agents or delivering data/ML products.
• Excellent communication and a genuine appetite for working directly with enterprise customers.
• A pragmatic, outcome-driven mindset grounded in evidence and scope control.
• Process intelligence, RPA, or workflow-automation experience.
• Delivery in regulated environments (financial services, insurance, healthcare).
• Familiarity with agent frameworks, evaluation/observability tooling, Kubernetes, or VDI/mainframe environments.

Responsibilities

• Embed with a customer team to understand the target workflow and edge cases.
• Deploy observation software and turn observed work into a clear agent spec.
• Author and validate the agent's operating procedure and decision logic.
• Build, integrate, and configure the agent with guardrails and human-in-the-loop checks.
• Drive calibration, UAT, and shadow-mode validation through go-live.
• Instrument monitoring and quantify the business lift delivered by the agent.
