Job summary

Rexel UK is seeking a motivated Branch Assistant for our Leeds Denmans branch, working Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm. You will be the face of the branch, delivering friendly customer service at the Trade Counter and supporting stock and order processing.

With a focus on customer service, you will maintain eye-catching displays, handle stock movements, quotations, and assist the external sales team.

Qualifications

• A clean valid driving licence is essential for this role.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Motivation to take on new challenges and learn.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and manage your workload.
• A customer-first mindset, understanding that the customer is the most important element of branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding support to customers both face-to-face and over the phone.
• Efficiently serve walk-in customers and make proactive sales calls to a portfolio of new and existing accounts, collaborating closely with the external sales team.
• Process customer orders, generate accurate quotations, and actively follow up on leads.
• Oversee stock control, including processing orders, picking, packing, managing store transfers, and safely loading/unloading delivery vans.
• Continuously learn about new industry products and market trends to better assist customers.
