Job summary

THX Ltd in Bedford is seeking a Customer Delivery Operative to deliver goods to customers, while providing an excellent customer service experience. You will handle heavy items safely, meet delivery targets, and support colleagues across departments.

Essentially, you will drive in congested areas, operate the delivery IT system, and spot opportunities for service and sales improvements. A valid UK licence and IT literacy are important.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with service focus.
• Driving experience preferred; not essential but advantageous.
• Ability to manually handle and manoeuvre heavy equipment.
• Valid, clean UK manual driving licence.
• Competent with IT/systems and navigation tools.
• Reliable, flexible and a strong team-player.
• Comfortable driving in congested areas including London.

Responsibilities

• Manual handling of heavy, bulky items in a safe and careful manner.
• Ensure customers receive accurate hire equipment on time and with a friendly attitude.
• Resolve problems promptly, communicating with customers and colleagues as required.
• Follow safe working processes while driving and loading/unloading using appropriate machinery.
• Communicate with colleagues in other departments to meet customer requirements.
• Operate delivery IT system, update data and photograph equipment.
• Raise issues and opportunities to improve THX operations.
• Identify sales opportunities while travelling and report to the sales team.
