Salary: Starting rates vary: Driver Trainee £28,646, Installer £32,149, Technician £34,353 (Annual)

Driver Trainee Responsibilities

• Complete the 12-month Customer Delivery Driver Trainee programme to become a qualified Installer.
• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Assist in loading your vehicle and collaborate with the warehouse team.
• Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations professionally.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use to customers.
• Stay updated with new products and technologies.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Note: Role involves heavy lifting, delivering large items like sofas, white goods, furniture, beds, and mattresses.

Essential Skills/Experience for Driver Trainee

• UK B-Category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Interest in technology and installation.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Previous installation and customer delivery experience.

Driver Installer Responsibilities

• Start at the delivery hub, then head out on route.
• Be an ambassador for the brand with great customer service.
• Load your vehicle with deliveries, working with the warehouse team.
• Respect customers' homes and handle situations professionally.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use.
• Stay updated with new products and technologies.
• Maintain safety standards.

Note: Heavy lifting involved.

Skills/Experience for Driver Installer

• Manual C1 UK driving licence with max 6 points.
• DCPC and Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good understanding of technology.

Desirable Skills for Installer Role

• Experience in white goods installation, TV installation, and flat pack assembly.

Driver Technician Responsibilities

• Start at the hub, then route out on deliveries.
• Be an ambassador for the brand.
• Coach and develop colleagues.
• Load your vehicle and work with the warehouse team.
• Respect customers' homes and handle situations professionally.
• Install a variety of products, demonstrating their use.
• Stay updated with new products and technologies.
• Maintain safety standards.

Skills/Experience for Driver Technician

• Manual C1 UK driving licence with max 6 points.
• DCPC and Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.

Desirable Skills for Technician Role

• Experience with electrical and furniture product installation, including wall-mount TVs and white goods.

Working Hours

Full-time: 41 hours/week (06:00-17:00, Monday-Saturday). Part-time: 30.75 hours/week (Thursday-Saturday).
