About The Role

As one of our Installation Specialists based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you'll have the opportunity to bring our John Lewis service to customers' doors, installing products like furniture, appliances, and electronics as part of a two-person delivery team. Roles Available: Customer Delivery Hub Driver-Installer & Technician

Position: Permanent

Location: Cranbrook Way CDH (Solihull)

Salary: Starting at £29,000 annually for Installer, £32,000 for Technician

Must be 18 or older to apply.

Driver Installer Responsibilities:

• Represent the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Load deliveries with warehouse support.
• Respect customer homes and handle issues effectively.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use.
• Stay updated on new products and technologies.
• Maintain safety standards.

Note: Heavy lifting involved, including large items like sofas and appliances.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Manual C1 UK driving license (max 6 points)
• DCPC and Tachograph Card
• Experience driving 7.5-tonne vehicles
• Customer-facing experience
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Good technology understanding

Desirable Skills:

• White goods installation/disconnection
• TV installation
• Flat pack assembly

Driver Technician Responsibilities:

• Customer service excellence
• Coach and develop colleagues
• Load and deliver products like wall-mount TVs and appliances
• Stay current with new tech
• Ensure safety
