Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking Customer Delivery Drivers to bring Waitrose produce and our Partner-led service right to customers’ doors. When you’re not out on the road, you’ll help in-store with daily tasks and support the team to keep the shop running smoothly.

This role involves up to 15 hours per week with varied shifts, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends. You must be 18 or older, hold a full UK manual driving licence (B category) with no more than 6 points, and

Qualifications

• Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
• Great customer service skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting of crates, moving cages).
• Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self motivated and adaptable.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Checking your delivery routes for the day.
• Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
• Ensuring all of the appropriate vehicle safety checks are complete on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety.
• Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand while on the road with great customer service as your number one priority.
• Helping customers with their shopping and building a rapport with them based on trust and service.
• Supporting the wider shop team when required with general shopkeeping tasks.
