Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring quality produce and Partner-led service directly to customers’ doors. This role is highly active, involves navigating routes and interacting with customers, while supporting in-store tasks when not on the road.

You will be responsible for safe vehicle operation, handling goods with care, and delivering a friendly, professional service that reflects the Waitrose brand. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Hold a full UK manual car driving licence (B category) with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Excellent people skills and a friendly approach to customer service.
• Physical work is required, including lifting crates and moving items up to around 18 kg.

Responsibilities

• Start in store and travel on deliveries, providing great service to customers at their door.
• Communicate substitutions or changes and process refunds quickly if needed.
• Handle products with care and treat them as if your own.
• Explain to customers that substitutions will not incur extra charges.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with customers during deliveries.
• Be familiar with your daily delivery route and ensure van safety checks are completed.
• Support the wider team with warehouse tasks when not on the road.
