Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring quality produce and Partner-led service to customers' doors. This role is highly active, involves road deliveries and in-store tasks, and emphasizes safety, teamwork and customer care.

You'll start and end days in-store, maintain a friendly, professional appearance, and interact with customers to ensure accurate orders, substitutions and timely refunds where needed. DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Hold a full valid UK manual car driving licence (B-category) with up to 6 penalty points.
• Excellent people skills and friendly customer service.
• Physically able to lift crates, climb stairs and move items up to about 18kg.
• Desirable: prior work driving experience or knowledge of refrigerated vans is a plus and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while you're on the road - great customer service is your number one goal!
• Chat with customers about substitutions or short-dated items, and sort refunds quickly if needed.
• Handle all products with care, ensuring substitutions are explained with no extra charge.
• Help customers with their groceries and build a strong, trusting relationship with them.
• Familiarise yourself with your delivery route for the day.
• Give your van a full safety check to ensure road readiness and compliance with safety rules.
• Help the wider CFC team with general warehouse tasks when you're off the road.
