Job summary

Asda is seeking a part-time Customer Delivery Driver at St Matthews. You will be part of the store team, delivering groceries to customers' doors and loading your van, while maintaining a clean vehicle and helping on busy days. The role is permanent with afternoons shifts and 22.5 hours per week, paying £13.10 per hour.

You’ll be at the heart of the customer experience, serving with a smile and collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries to our customers.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence is preferred for delivering the van.
• Friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Flexibility to work afternoons and weekends or varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload items for delivery.
• Deliver orders to customers’ homes or businesses.
• Keep the van clean and well-maintained between deliveries.
• Support team during busy periods, including picking and packing online orders.

At Asda, we want you to find your everything. As a Customer Delivery Driver in our store team, you'll be at the heart of the customer experience-serving with heart at pride. Whether you're loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you'll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic - we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.

• A valid UK Driving Licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings - no two days are the same.
